The Black Lagoon Series

Today was picture day at K's school!  Hopefully she didn't have a day like The Class Picture Day from the Black Lagoon!  If you haven't read the Black Lagoon series, you're in for a real treat! Just picture your children anticipating everything they could possibly imagine to go wrong on any given day of school and you've got the Black Lagoon kids! Lucky for us, (and them) the Black Lagoon kids always make it out okay.  In The Class Picture Day from the Black Lagoon,, new in paperback on October 1st, Hubie's hair just won't stay down and he's not sure which side is his best. Don't even ask him which way he'd like to pose!  These books are so hilariously funny!  Check out the list of Black Lagoon books below.  There are stories available for every school "occasion" in both 8x8 picture books and early chapter books!  Let's hope your next event at school is not so Black Lagoony!

Who are they for?  These books are great read alouds for the lower and middle grades.  The reading levels vary anywhere from 1.2 to 3.7.  The chapter books are perfect for second, third and fourth grade independent reading.
